The kingdom of Belgium borders on France, Luxembourg, Germany and the Netherlands and is itself a multilingual country: there is a German community next to a French and Flemish. This mix of languages and cultures is what creates the country’s charm. Brussels is not only the vibrant capital of Belgium, but also the capital of the EU and is therefore full. The city of Antwerp also lures you with its international flair thanks to one of the biggest harbours worldwide. This metropolitan atmosphere is an exciting contrast to the grand and historic city centre. As the best preserved medieval city, Bruges also holds one of the most important art collections on the whole country. Belgium’s nature also awaits with some treasures: from extensive forests to enchanting river bassins and range of hills.
